To make the strategic plan for the successful completion of any project or task self-evaluation is essential. For any organization or person to make the long term planning, evaluation of the current status and the forward-looking status is necessary. The evaluation includes the analysis of strength, weakness, challenges, and opportunities. The weakness and strength help to understand the company's or self current position whereas the challenges and opportunities help to find out the upcoming obstacles and to understand the future benefits after the completion of that project.
So I did my self-evaluation before learning Illustrator and logo design.
Strengths
Interested to develop a new skill: I am always interested to develop a new skill whether it
is related to my professional career or not. My self-developed interest helps me to learn quickly and effectively. I am working as a developer so graphics designing would be a completely new skill for me.
Dedication and
hardworking nature: If any tasks are assigned to me or I commit to complete
some task I put my full dedication and hard work to accomplish it even if it
is difficult to achieve.
Already familiar with
technologies: Since I am working as a developer, I am somehow familiar
with the technologies and already have some understanding of the importance
of graphics designing.

Weakness
Overenthusiastic: Even though I am a beginner to some sector, I have
a habit of setting a big goal in that. If I aim to design some professional
and perfect logos using illustrator even though I am at the beginner level, I
could fail to achieve that and affect my learning process.
Less creative and weak knowledge of designing: The Designing logo is
completely a creative work and it needs good designing skill to develop. I am
lacking both. I am less creative about using a combination of colors and
various shapes to design the graphics. To overcome this I would need frequent
practices.

Opportunities
Graphics designer
colleagues: Working as a web developer I have numbers of professional
graphic designer colleagues which I have taken as an opportunity to learn
illustrator.
Demand for graphics
designer in the market: Market of IT is booming day by day. Every organization and business group are requiring their own branding which is increasing the demand for a graphics designer. After getting the skills on Illustrator this would be another important opportunity for my career.

Challenges
The fluctuating trend
of designing: Due to regular up gradation and changes in the
technologies the trend of brand designing is also changing. To secure the
profession as a designer being familiar with the latest trend is must which
is a big challenge.
Regular changes and
update in technologies: New designing tools are coming in
the market regularly due to which to survive in the market as a designer
regular learning of new techniques is required which could be the challenge
for all designer.
Other easy and fast
graphics designing tools: Other tools which are faster and
easier than Illustrator are also available and even many online tools have
been developed where logos can be developed with drag and drop feature. These
tools affect the real importance of graphics designer.
