Aim and Introduction

Since this module is providing opportunities for students to get deeper knowledge in their interested area, I have planned to learn dynamic logo design using Adobe Illustrator. The logo has become essential for any kind of business for its unique identity and branding. With the rapid growth in the number of internet users worldwide the trend of developing the website for any kind of business or organization has become mandatory. Since websites are being viewed in different devices with different screen sizes and resolution, maintaining the quality of images for any resolution is essential.
After consulting with my colleagues who are working in IT Company as a web developer and designer, they suggested implementing a vector image in a website instead of pixelated images which are developed using Adobe Illustrator to retain the quality of images in any scale.

Learning Principle

My learning process of Illustrator is completely dependent on previous tools and technologies already developed. On the basis of existing tools and their methods, I will be generating new ideas and creativity to develop the logos. The various types of logos are also based on the knowledge gained after many years of experience and experiment for various organizations and researchers. Those pieces of knowledge are going to be very helpful for me to decide the common types of logos and their features. Even I will help me to get the Idea about the key points to take care before designing the logo.

Since I am gaining knowledge on the basis of prior knowledge and experiences,  my learning process will be based on the CONSTRUCTIVE LEARNING PRINCIPLE. Constructive learning principle says that learning is the process of constructing ideas and concepts of the basis of prior knowledge and experience(Kelly, 2012)

Before jumping into installing the Adobe Illustrator in my PC and designing logo, I have to learn why Adobe Illustrator is important when there is Adobe Photoshop a powerful graphics designing tool so that I could concentrate on designing the graphics for which illustrator is specially used for and exploring various types of logos could be more helpful for me to design different types of logos.
